Prassanna Pathmanathan is an award winning trainer, fashion marketer, fashion show producer, choreographer, fashion incubator and a pageant expert. He’s the founder of Colombo Fashion Council (CFC). Prassanna Pathmanathan is a gold medalist from University of Westminster UK and has a MBA from University of Wales UK. He’s also a Chartered Marketer and an Organizational Phycologist.
From working with one of the World’s most influential fashion guru’s Sir Paul Smith, to assisting the production of London Fashion Week and mentored by Trend Boutique, Cockpit Arts, Not just a label, Future laboratory, Material Lab, Tom Dixon, British Fashion Council and London Fashion Scout has strived him to support the to support the fashion and design talents of Sri Lanka whilst strengthening the presence of local fashion designers in the global sphere
As a founder of CFC, Prassanna’s main aim is to uplift the Sri Lankan fashion industry by identifying the right talent and them a platform to start a fashion label that’s not second to an international brand.
Prassanna’s vision is also about extending boundaries and getting connections with international platforms and also maintain international collaboration with other councils for the betterment of the Sri Lankan fashion industry.
He’s recipient of many awards, he won Sri Lanka’s most prestigious young creative entrepreneur fashion and design award in 2012 by British Council and emerged as the world’s youngest creative Entrepreneur 2012 in London. He has also won the Ten Outstanding Young Person (TOYP) of Sri Lanka in 2016. He also sits as an advisor for Unilver’s beauty council. He’s one of the three fashion Entrepreneurs from Sri Lanka to meet his Royal Highness Prince of Wales, Prince Charles to talk about fashion initiatives. Also he was invited to the White House to speak about the world's creative economy.
